Beige woven hat with a turquoise pom pom band

A coastal classic with a vibrant twist. The Antibes Hat blends soft neutral tones with a thick, handwoven turquoise pom pom band - a subtle statement that evokes crisp linen, sun-kissed shoulders, and mornings on the marina. Handmade by the Wayuu tribe in Colombia, it’s an effortless companion for everything from city strolls to seaside escapes.

Chic meets artisan: A refined silhouette, handwoven using age-old Wayuu techniques.
Pop of colour: The turquoise pom pom band adds playfulness to its elegant neutral base.
Customisable styling: Bands are fully removable - mix and match with our other colours to suit your mood.
Slow fashion at its finest: Crafted in small batches and designed to last a lifetime.
Comes beautifully boxed: Includes a Bombaby block print dust bag for safe keeping and serious style points.

One size fits all: The flexible fibres can be carefully squeezed to shrink or gently stretched to expand, creating the perfect fit. Naturally waterproof and bounce-back ready, these hats are packing legends - ready to travel wherever you do.

Slip into something neutral, and let the accessories do the talking.

The Handmade Wayuu Hat is meticulously handwoven by talented Wayuu artisans, who have honed their craft for generations. The intricate patterns and vibrant colors reflect the tribe's rich cultural identity, ensuring that every hat is a work of art.

Tailored Fit: With a 21'' head opening, this hat provides a comfortable and adjustable fit for a wide range of head sizes. It sits securely yet comfortably, allowing you to enjoy your outdoor adventures without worrying about discomfort or slippage.

Shield yourself from the sun's rays with the wide brim of the Wayuu hat. It offers ample coverage, protecting your face, neck, and shoulders from harmful UV rays.

By choosing the Handmade Wayuu Hat, you support fair trade practices and empower the Wayuu artisans. Your purchase contributes to the preservation of their cultural heritage, helping sustain their communities and ensuring the continuation of their craft.

The Wayuu people are native South Americans who live in an area between Venezuela and Colombia. They live in a harsh, arid area, and the families are divided into clans.

The Wayuu people are skilled weavers and knitters and their handcrafts include bags, hats, and hammocks.

Living in small, isolated communities, in Wayuu culture, the woman is the pillar of the family and with her weavings is its main supporter and that of the community.

🌴Crafted from premium Iraca palm fibers, this hat offers exceptional durability, flexibility, and breathability.

🧊The natural fibers allow air to circulate, keeping your head cool and comfortable even during the hottest summer days.

👒Simply wipe clean and, to reshape or resize, a spritz of water will help to hold the shape. Pull the brim down for protection from the sun.

Ethical | Bespoke | Handmade

Every Bombaby piece is a labour of love, not mass production. Designed in Rutland and handcrafted in Jaipur, our bespoke block print bedding and quilted accessories take 4–6 weeks to create - from hand-blocking and stitching, to quilting and their voyage from India to the UK.

Each fabric is printed to order by skilled artisans using the centuries-old technique of hand block printing - an intricate process where wooden blocks are hand-carved, dipped in natural dyes, and carefully pressed onto fabric, layer by layer. Because of this, you may notice small smudges, ink splashes, or slight variations in the print - these are not flaws, but the hallmarks of true craftsmanship.

To reduce waste, we also use surplus fabrics for linings, piping, and trims - so colours and patterns may vary slightly from batch to batch. This only adds to the bespoke, one-of-a-kind nature of our designs.

Unlike factory-made textiles, no two pieces are ever identical, making your item truly unique. These handcrafted details are a badge of authenticity, celebrating slow fashion, tradition, and artistry.

We also print to order to minimise waste and plant a tree for every purchase, helping to offset emissions.
