Merino Wool Shawl XL | SECONDS
Merino Wool Herringbone Shawl - Luxurious, Soft, and Generously Sized
For those who demand the very best in comfort and craftsmanship, the extra large merino wool shawl is a sumptuous indulgence in softness and style. Made from the finest four-ply merino wool sourced from Nepal, this XL shawl offers an unparalleled experience of warmth and luxury.
Supremely Soft, Incredibly Durable
Merino wool is known for its velvety softness, but it offers so much more. Unlike cashmere, which can be delicate, merino wool strikes the perfect balance between indulgence and resilience. Its natural elasticity ensures that this blanket maintains its sumptuous texture over time, with less pilling and wear, even after years of use. The four-ply weave creates a luxurious shawl that is not only featherlight but also deceptively cosy, offering a comforting warmth that’s breathable enough for all seasons.
Light and breathable during the summer months, yet perfectly cosy and warm in the winter, this merino wool shawl (or cosy blanket) is the perfect companion for every season.
- Premium four-ply merino wool: Soft as cashmere but more durable, offering luxurious warmth and long-lasting comfort.
- Generous size for ultimate versatility: At 108 x 54 inches, this blanket is perfectly suited as a XL shawl, bed throw or decadent picnic blanket.
Seconds Info: some shawls may have very minor pulls/snags/blemishes from transit.
Ethical | Bespoke | Handmade
Every Bombaby piece is a labour of love, not mass production. Designed in Rutland and handcrafted in Jaipur, our bespoke block print bedding and quilted accessories take 4–6 weeks to create - from hand-blocking and stitching, to quilting and their voyage from India to the UK.
Each fabric is printed to order by skilled artisans using the centuries-old technique of hand block printing - an intricate process where wooden blocks are hand-carved, dipped in natural dyes, and carefully pressed onto fabric, layer by layer. Because of this, you may notice small smudges, ink splashes, or slight variations in the print - these are not flaws, but the hallmarks of true craftsmanship.
To reduce waste, we also use surplus fabrics for linings, piping, and trims - so colours and patterns may vary slightly from batch to batch. This only adds to the bespoke, one-of-a-kind nature of our designs.
Unlike factory-made textiles, no two pieces are ever identical, making your item truly unique. These handcrafted details are a badge of authenticity, celebrating slow fashion, tradition, and artistry.
We also print to order to minimise waste and plant a tree for every purchase, helping to offset emissions.
